Quality Audit

The audit of Higher Education Institutions’ focuses on ten key aspects of the operations of Higher Education Institution which assumed to be essential for the assurance and maintenance of quality of teaching-learning, research, community engagement and support services.  


The audit process is cyclical and begins with Self Evaluation of HEIs to be audited, and continues with briefing visit carried by HERQA audit experts, then follows conducting  the actual audit,  publish and issue audit reports  primarily to the audited institution and the public at large. Then the follow up visit comes to check whether the recommendations given to the HEIs’ are planned and executed. This process occurs in five year cycle for every HEI. The main purpose of this audit is to support the HEI and to check accountability that the HEIs are discharging their mission properly and the education and training, research and community engagement provided is to the standard.
